GET IT DONE

GET IT DONE is a unique platform for small-scale humanitarian projects. Each selected project gets the tools to be promoted within existing online social networks such as Hyves and Facebook. With a little effort of people like you, a personal network quickly forms around each project, mobilising friends to support the project with their network, time, talent or money. NO fees, NO middlemen.

GET IT DONE is a concept of the Cheruto Foundation.

Cheruto Foundation

Cheruto, an 8-year-old girl from Kenya, contracted AIDS about two years ago. Her friend, Dutch actress Hanna Verboom, decided to do something. Hanna sold the paintings she had made herself and used the revenue to provide Cheruto with the medication and nutrition she needs. This basic human exchange relates to us all: one person supporting the other, personally and directly. It inspired the foundation of the Cheruto Foundation.

The rise of online social networks such as Hyves and Facebook has changed how we relate to people. It has also changed the ways in which we can support each other. Crowd-sourcing has become a new trend in Development Aid. New Aid, as we call it, uses the general public to perform basic tasks like promotion of and fundraising for aid projects. So, Cheruto works to reduce inequality through social networks by building a platform that connects people to projects.

The platform is an online facility for small-scale aid projects, where anyone can present and promote projects within their existing online social networks. Anyone can choose if, when, and how to support their favorite projects. No fees, fully transparent.
